Stop the Clock

Becky Reesor | Classical-Crossover Piano Artist

It’s an escape from the noise of the outside world.

— David S.

“We give our best to the world when we’re rooted in ourselves and in nature.

Stop the Clock is an invitation to return to that place—

using music as a bridge to that deeper connection.”

—Becky Reesor

About

Stop the Clock is an immersive concert experience—

an original show for piano, videography and narration.

Ambient, genre-blending journey, Stop the Clock moves listeners through snapshots of Nature, offering them a space to be absorbed in sound, to engage their senses

to connect with nature, self and the surrounding world.

Be absorbed in wonder…

loneliness…
dissonance…

The quiet ways Nature shapes us;

Allowing emotions,
both light and dark,
to simply exist.

A show for concert series, music festivals, arts & educations centres, fundraisers, community events and more.

The pieces are poignant—
balancing isolation with joy and wonder

— Julia B.

LONG BIO

Becky Reesor's music ignites the senses.

It stops time—tunes you to your soul, body and psyche.

Canadian classical-crossover pianist, she envelops you in genre-blending sound, image and narrative where influences of folk, electronic and jazz flavour her classical core.

Listeners say, "it’s an escape from the noise of the outside world,” “it brings peace amidst the chaos."

Her latest album, tour and piano book, Stop the Clock (2023), captures fleeting moments in and alongside the natural world, both dark and light. Stage highlights across Ontario and Quebec include the Hudson Music Festival, Conrad Grebel University College and the esteemed Oasis Musicale Concert Series in Montreal.

As a child, Reesor simply played at the piano. Curiosity, frustration or joy, she found patterns and melodies to let her energy out through notes. This spark found purpose when a cherished professor transformed her perception of music—from notes and rhythms to an organic, living force that can evoke images, feelings and ideas. Music is now a spiritual practice for Reesor: "The best way to positively impact the world is to deepen our understanding of ourselves and our surroundings,” she believes, "and music is a great tool for doing that."

Now, through every performance, Reesor invites listeners into that same space of discovery. Her goal is not just to share sound, but to help her audience feel more connected: to themselves, to others, and to life.

"It's just really beautiful. The music, the projections, the words… the whole thing."

—Esther-Ruth Teel/Oasis Musicale

Her upcoming collection and collaboration, Felt, Not Said (2027), is a piano and video journey through heart and gut of human experience.

Stop the Clock is a feast for the senses.

You are transported to a place of calm and relaxation.
